Hi, I’m Sam.

I’m a Philly-born, freelance creative writer freshly back in the US after living in Berlin, Germany, for over eight years.

Living and working abroad for nearly a decade, along with being a queer female writer, has provided me with loads of diverse writing experiences and a deep understanding of how to use words to connect with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and countries.

One of my most unique and developmental work experiences was writing for Europe’s #1 e-commerce company, Zalando. (Sort of the European version of Asos — only maybe…dare I say it…cooler?) When I first began permalancing with them, the company was a baby, a start-up. I not only got to help build their brand from the inside out — writing their TOV guidelines, etc. — but I also got to write for their internal creative agency, Zalando Studios. Here, I wrote copy for nearly all of the brands they partnered with, including Adidas, Crocs, Ralph Lauren, Mango, and so many more. From just this one client, I got a wide range of brand experience. By the time I left Berlin, Zalando was a multi-billion dollar company. (Started from the bottom, now we’re here.)

And lastly, to throw it out there, my dream is to write for outdoor athletic brands — Patagonia, Red Bull, North Face, etc. My absolute favorite job was when the sustainable fabrics company, Tencel, sent me into the Alps with a camera and my snowboard to direct a shoot I wrote called Dress For Your Environment. I am a nature enthusiast and manifesting (sorry) more of this for 2024!

I’m most passionate about writing killer taglines, TOV guidelines, scripts, pitch decks, and helping brands build their outstanding personality. Well, that and a cold beer after a long day of snowboarding.
